A collective group of active community members are campaigning together to make sure the RTA does the right thing by our community, and over the past week have created a series of ad's this one appeared in the Echo published on Tuesday 1st of November 2005, please stay tuned and we will keep uploading our current ad's once they have been printed.

Do you know where the Pacific Hwy will go?

Below is the current map of alternate routs that the RTA has planned for the new Pacific Highway, if you click on the image it will show you the larger version of the map.

Residents Unite

Around 250 residents from communities affected by the Tintenbar to Ewingsdale Pacific Highway Upgrade, attended a community meeting at Newrybar Hall on Thursday 3rd November. The community united to urge the NSW Government to:

1. Move the interstate freight back to the New England Highway Now.
2. Government to start investigation of alternative inland freightroutes and rail options immediately.
3. Upgrade Tintenbar to Ewingsdale (T2E) to a class A highway on the existing highway corridor
4. Support the Ballina council for an immediate start to an A class Ballina Bypass.
